CSMB Trainee Travel Awards
This bursary fund is designed to encourage students & post doctoral fellows' participation in the annual meeting, by assisting to defray the cost of attending these meetings at distant locations. Up to fifteen awards, each valued at $750 will be offered to attend the annual meeting. Some of these awards are provided by generous sponsors of our meetings. The student's supervisor must be a member of CSMB. Here is information on how to join CSMB. If you register for the CSMB annual meeting, you will be automatically considered for these awards.

Two of the above travel awards of $750 each are supported by a generous contribution from New England Biolabs.
Eligibility for Travel Awards
The student or postdoctoral fellow must be the first author of an abstract submitted for presentation at the annual meeting. The training supervisor must be a member of the CSMB. Travel bursaries will be presented to the respective winners at the conference banquet.
Graduate Student and PDF Poster Competitions
The CSMB sponsors three annual awards for the best poster presentations given by a Society student members at the CSMB Annual Conference. Two of these awards are designated for research in the category of biochemistry/molecular biology and the other for research in cellular biology. The CSMB presents one poster award to PDFs. The Jake Duerckson Poster Prize in Cell Biology will be given at the Annual Conference. Participating students and PDFs will present their posters to a committee of judges selected by the Society. The monetary awards will be presented at the Annual Conference banquet.
