Merck Frosst - CSBMCB Student Travel Awards
The Merck Frosst Centre for Therapeutic Research (Canada) has established the Merck Frosst CSBMCB Student Travel Award programme. This bursary fund is designed to encourage student participation in the annual meeting, by assisting to defray the cost of attending these meetings at distant locations. Ten awards, each valued at $750 will be offered to attend the annual meeting. The student's supervisor must be a member of CSBMCB. Here is information on how to join CSBMCB. If you register for the CSBMCB annual meeting, you will be automatically considered for these awards.
CSBMCB Post-Doctoral Fellow Travel Awards
The Society has established five travel awards, each valued at $750 to help underwrite the cost of postdoctoral fellows attendance at the annual meeting. Here is information on how to join CSBMCB.
Eligibility for Travel Awards
The student or postdoctoral fellow must be the first author of an abstract submitted for presentation at the annual meeting. The training supervisor must be a member of the CSBMCB. Travel bursaries will be presented to the respective winners at the meeting banquet.
Graduate Student and PDF Poster Competitions
Roche Diagnostics generously sponsors three annual awards for the best poster presentations given by a Society student members at the annual CFBS Meeting. Two of these awards are designated for research in the category of biochemistry/molecular biology and the other for research in cellular biology. The CSBMCB presents one poster award to PDFs. Participating students and PDFs will present their posters to a committee of judges selected by the Society. The monetary awards will be presented at the meeting banquet.
