Posters

The dimensions of the poster boards are 6’ wide x 4’ high. Posters are to be mounted on the boards using single-sided Velcro – this will not be supplied, so please bring your own.

Your poster presentation will be assigned to one of two Poster Sessions scheduled for Tuesday, June 2nd and Wednesday, June 3rd. You will be informed in advance of which Poster Session you will be participating in. Please be sure that your poster is up by 10:00 am on the day of your presentation.

Poster Prizes

The CSBMCB and several sponsors (Biochemical Journal, Roche, Cedarlane, Diamed, Beckman, Qiagen) offer poster prizes to the graduate students and post-doctoral fellows judged to have presented the best posters.

• Awards for Best Postdoctoral Poster Presentation –  two awards for post-doctoral fellows
  

• Awards for Best Student Poster Presentation – three awards for graduate students; the Jake Duerkson Poster Award is awarded for the best poster in the area of Cell Biology.
  

If you would like to be considered for a poster prize, please indicate this at the appropriate point in the abstract submission web page.

A team of judges drawn from the invited speakers and other scientists attending the conference will visit the posters that are entered in the contest, to assess the scientific content and visual appearance of the poster, as well as the presenter’s ability to explain their work.

Poster prizes will be presented at the Conference Banquet and Awards Presentation ceremony on Thursday, June 4, 2009.
